Terms of use

Agreement and scope

These terms govern use of this website and information submitted to Lambda-Phi, located in San Jose, CA. By using the site, you accept these terms. Product-specific terms provided with an invitation govern that product and control if they conflict with these terms.

Invitations and access

Papika is in beta and JobOps is in early access. Both are offered by invitation only. An invitation request is an expression of interest, not an offer, contract, or promise of access. Lambda-Phi may accept or reject requests and may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue the site, an invitation, or a product at any time.

Acceptable use

Use the site only for lawful purposes and provide accurate information. Do not interfere with the site, test or bypass its security, scrape it at disruptive volume, impersonate another person, or submit information without authority. Lambda-Phi may block or remove access when it believes use threatens the site, its products, or others.

Ownership

Lambda-Phi and its licensors retain all rights in the Lambda-Phi name, marks, site design, software, and original content. No right or license is granted except the limited right to use the site under these terms. Feedback may be used by Lambda-Phi without restriction or compensation.

No warranties

The site, its content, and any preview or early-access product are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lambda-Phi disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, availability, accuracy, and results.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lambda-Phi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, goodwill, or business. Lambda-Phi’s total liability arising from the site or these terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Lambda-Phi for the site during the three months before the claim.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for your use of the site and for decisions made from its content. You agree to defend and indemnify Lambda-Phi against third-party claims, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use, your violation of these terms, or information you submit without authority.

Governing law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts serving Santa Clara County, California, and each party consents to that venue and jurisdiction.

Changes and contact

Lambda-Phi may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions about the site may be sent through the contact form.
